Description

Elizabeth Gurley Flynn's pamphlet celebrates the achievements of women in history, including earning the right to vote and the creation of International Women's Day, but she also discusses how far women still have to go for equality. Gurley Flynn notes that Black women and men are not able to vote due to poll taxes and other acts of disenfranchisements, and notes that the Communist Party, of which she is a member, supports the idea of more women, both Black and white, in office. She also uses the pamphlet to extol the work of women during World War II but suggests actions for peace.
